Request: sourced addition on multipoint and photonic-integrated LDV

I am affiliated with Ommatidia and have disclosed that connection on my user page. Because of that connection, I will not edit this article directly.
I would like to request an uninvolved editor’s review of a short, neutral addition in the “Types” section, after the existing multi-beam entry. It would clarify that multipoint laser Doppler vibrometry can use parallel or multi-beam arrangements to measure several locations simultaneously, which is useful for high-density sampling, transient or non-repeatable motion. It would also note that photonic integrated circuits are an established approach to miniaturizing LDV optical functions.
Proposed text:
In addition to scanning a single probe beam across a surface, laser Doppler vibrometry can measure several locations simultaneously using parallel or multi-beam optical arrangements. This can be useful when the motion is transient, spatially complex or cannot be reproduced reliably between sequential measurements. Photonic integrated circuits have also been investigated as a route to miniaturizing LDV optical functions; silicon-photonics research has demonstrated simultaneous multi-beam implementations.

I welcome editorial judgment on whether this belongs in this article, should be shortened, or is better handled in a future article on multipoint laser Doppler vibrometry.
