Salisbury crash

[edit]

The text is ambiguous, implying that as two locomotives worked the train that it was double-headed. It might be better and more accurate to state that 421 took over the train from another locomotive at Temple Combe, for the final leg into London. Sources are various - Rolt, Red for Danger and Wikipedia page on the Salisbury crash. Also I S Nick's book in British railway accidents. No ~2026-32396-93 (talk) 19:40, 31 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

I presume that for "Temple Combe" you mean "Templecombe", and for "I S Nick" you mean "O. S. Nock". --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 17:07, 1 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
