three species

New work shows that this is actually three species: Antechinomys laniger (the one referred to in this article as the only species), Antechinomys spenceri and Antechinomys auritus.

I'm dropping this here temporarily. I hope someone who knows more about kultarrs, or marsupials in general, will update the article, so this amateur doesn't have to.

@Vicki Rosenzweig: That'll be useful in the future. Right now, neither then IUCN nor ASM's MDD recognize those taxa at the species level. WP:MAMMAL standard is to wait for both of those, or one of them with multiple other secondary sources. - UtherSRG (talk) 21:32, 29 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
