The article says that his doctorate was in music composition, and lower down that it was on The Origins of Barbershop (a musicology thesis). Which is it?! One sees both stated elsewhere. Is there a reason both cannot be true? That is, his thesis was titled "The Origins of Barbershop" while his overall doctorate degree was in music composition?
