Serious concerns

[edit]

The entire article seems to based off a single source of no great salience, and there doesn't seem to be much in the way of other sources; what might be the proper procedure? AllenY99 (talk) 15:42, 6 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Here’s another source: Nuovi nomi usati dagli italiani in Australia, formati da nomi inglesi from 1911. —Wiki Wikardo 07:52, 22 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Sicilian

[edit]

Are you sure that the examples are Italian? It seems Sicilian or some other language of Italy. --Error (talk) 17:10, 17 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

This may be because although most of Italo-Australians are either Calabrese or Abruzzese there's heaps of Sicilianos- not sure what the make up is. There's heaps of Pugleses or Ginoeses and even mob from the north.
What do I know I'm just a skippy who learnt Italian from those around me, but the two times I've been to Italy in standard Italian isn't normal and the way I say stuff in the south they don't understand in the north. Once again I'm just a skippy and I must admit I do mix Italian with brasileiro and Spanish these days. 124.170.127.19 (talk) 05:48, 10 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
