Why are vertebrates listed under "Cladistically included but traditionally excluded taxa"?

[edit]

Vertebrates cannot be invertebrates, invertebrates are purely paraphyletic and cannot be redefinable as monophyletic to cladistically include vertebrates Cantthinkofanyusername (talk) 20:57, 30 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Yes. The labels in the infobox are customizable. The default is "Cladistically included but traditionally excluded taxa", but I've set it now to just say "Excluded". Plantdrew (talk) 02:53, 31 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, but I'm gonna change it to "Metazoans that are not considered invertebrates", I honestly feel like "Metazoans that are not considered invertebrates" is better than "Excluded" Cantthinkofanyusername (talk) 21:25, 8 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
