Missing the implementation of RFC6214

A group of people successfully implemented RFC6124 and documented the results on YouTube, however the entire video is in like French or something so I can’t understand a word of it, which is why I didn’t just edit the main page including a summary of events. The video footage however was pretty clear in showing the pigeons and scanning of datagrams with laptops in the field. Perhaps this can be included in the “real life implementations” section as it is quite notably the second ever implementation of IPoAC, while also quite notable being the first to use the newer IPv6 standard for RFC1149?

Miscategorised?

If IPoAC has been successfully implemented as per the "Real-life implementation" section of the article then surely it is no longer a "Fictional telecom protocol" and thus should not be in that category. Long after designing <https://mason.gmu.edu/~smetz3/humor/RFC1149.html>, it occured to me that there is more than one way of cooking a carrier. i had "trouble understanding" that there already had been a talk about it, since the talk wasn't display when entering the talk section and there is no archive button on mobile, at least not to my knowledge.. Pi guy 3.1415926 (talk) 15:27, 15 August 2026 (UTC)

It doesn't matter whether you personally "can't find a good reason". Whether to retain the image was extensively discussed and the Wikipedia community decided to remove it. See WP:RfC.

I am having trouble believing that when you added it the first time and was reverted you could not see the message explaining the removal. Could someone familiar with the mobile app confirm that when an editor is reverted they see the reaso listed in the edit summary? --Guy Macon (talk) 15:52, 15 August 2026 (UTC)

Even though i disagree with the final descision i won't go against it knowingly.

I didn't find out it was removed by getting a notification, i found out by seeing the website, i thought it was automated or flagged for not being objectivly true (hens why i added "theoretical" in last edit)

You should have gotten a big red notification icon in the top-right corner... Next time check the page's edit history if you notice your edits are gone, you can see the reasoning for the revert there too. -- Maddy from Celeste (WAVEDASH) 16:02, 15 August 2026 (UTC)
