Apparent autobiography/COI

63% of the current article was written by Chokusen1 (talk · contribs · logs), a user active in bioart areas between 2008-2010 where most of their edits were to this biography.

17% was written by Hunteroreilly (talk · contribs · logs), a user with the same name as the subject who edited it (and no other articles) in 2016-2018.

12% was written by Artsciencegenetics (talk · contribs · logs), a user active this week who has only edited this article, claims to have personally taken the infobox photo, and has so far declined to clarify whether they have a COI.

Artsciencegenetics has removed the autobiography template, but it looks like at minimum a COI may be happening here. Some clarification would be appreciated. Belbury (talk) 09:30, 9 September 2026 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide explains the basics: basically don't edit the article directly, and post suggestions on the talk page instead. Other editors will assess and edit the article content at some point. Belbury (talk) 12:37, 9 September 2026 (UTC)

Thank you for the information. I will post suggestions on talk page in the future. I will not edit the actual page. Do I need to remove my text? You're welcome to remove the text you added if you like, but the COI template still applies to the other two user accounts. It just needs other Wikipedia editors to review the content to make sure that it's written from neutral point of view, and that it isn't saying anything that isn't supported by the sources. (One of the problems with COI editing is that a user can write something that they personally know or remember to be true, but which has never actually been documented anywhere.)
