I am Heather Berlin, the subject of this article, and I am disclosing my conflict of interest. I am requesting that independent editors make the following changes under Wikipedia’s biographies-of-living-persons policy.
1. Remove the estimated birth year and age
Please remove:
“c. 1975 (age 50–51)” from the infobox;
“born c. 1975” from the opening sentence; and
the “1970s births” category, if it is based on the same estimate.
No reliable published source is cited for my year of birth. It appears that the approximate year was inferred from my educational history. A graduation or degree date does not reliably establish someone’s birth year, and an inferred birth year should not be presented as biographical fact.
The opening sentence should therefore begin:

Done Per the Biographies of Living Persons policy, the birthdate was challenged and not supported by a reliable source, so I have removed it. Inferring birthdates from graduation dates probably runs contrary to Wikipedia:No original research, especially as students can skip grades or take gap years. Altamel (talk) 03:07, 21 July 2026 (UTC)
