I'm not sure if this has been put in a secondary source yet, but it was named that because it started in the Hawk Meadows. It'll be added when it's reported in a news article. Sp0ng3s (talk) 21:51, 25 August 2026 (UTC)

Infobox not updated

I updated the main article with fire spread, but I haven't worked on the impacts section of the infobox. I doubt that's up to date yet. Also, I think at least some of the sources are primary. I would fix them but I'm running out of time at the moment -- Orchid Planter! (talk) 03:32, 13 September 2026 (UTC)

@Orchid planter Thank you for your work. A couple things:

• I question the reliability of allfirefighter.com. It appears to be run by just two people per the about page, I'm going to err on the side of caution and just include the Watch Duty source that states the fire was contained on September 9. That's also information coming directly from the National Interagency Fire Center.
• There are some tense issues I need to address in the infobox, but that's a quick fix. Thanks for pointing out.
• I don't see a problem with primary sources. The InciWeb sources are useful for the more obscure acreage, containment, and personnel information and I'd prefer that over allfirefighters.com or Watch Duty. These are written by the incident management on scene that were monitoring the fire.

• If you have a source that says Sept. 9 is the date it was contained, then that's great: allfirefighter.com said that it happened between the 9th and the 10th, but I didn't see those other sources
• Turns out I had some bad information, and after re-reading the primary source policies, I'd agree that the primary sources aren't a problem. I was confusing the notability and acceptability guidelines.
• Thank you for your work and for fact-checking me!
