Operation: Black Mesa?
[edit]There is a fan project in development trying to remake this game and Blue Shift called "Operation: Black Mesa". Marines?
[edit]As far as I can tell, there is nothing in any official Half-Life content proving the HECU are part of the United States Marine Corps, or that Adrian Shepard himself is a Marine. The Half-Life community often discusses the HECU as if it is a special operations unit under the USMC, but it’s a generic military unit at best. There’s more to suggest it is actually under the U.S. Army, as seen in its use of Bradley fighting vehicles and Apache attack helicopters. There may be a need to remove references of the Marine Corps from the article. ~2026-44293-2 (talk) 02:14, 21 January 2026 (UTC)
