[edit]Marc van de Mieroop writes in A history of the ancient east (third edition, page 14): "Around 4500, this Ubaid culture replaced the Halaf in the north and in the Zagros Mountains". Howeverin Historical atlas of ancient civilizations (page 25) John Haywood writes: "By around 5400 BC it had replaced the Halafian culture in northern Mesopotamia". One of them must be wrong. Has van de Mieroop simply done a typing mistake? --Oddeivind (talk) 08:53, 19 May 2017 (UTC)
- van de Mieroop is probably wrong. His date is too late. Y-barton (talk) 01:01, 6 October 2017 (UTC)
