change the Australian peak position for Wake Me Up When September Ends from 3 to 13 and for 21 Guns change it from 4 to 14.[1][2]. then get rid of the Wake Me Up When September Ends ARIA Platinum Certification as it was never certified at all Platinum in 2005[3] and change the 21 Guns ARIA certification from Platinum to Gold[4] and change the RIANZ certification for 21 guns from Platinum to Gold.[5] 58.10.50.234 (talk) 19:23, 3 January 2018 (UTC)

[edit]The BPI Certification for 'Tre' is incorrect - the album is Silver and not Gold. 100,000 copies are required for Gold certification. Sales figure
[edit]Please stop adding unsourced sales figures in the article. RIAA certification is not the same as sales figures, we have two columns to keep the two separate. RIAA certifications reflect shipment of albums to sales outlets (not over-the-counter sales), and more recently, consumed units that include streaming and single sales. RIAA certifications often inflate sales figures, and we are not even talking about the case of multidisks where albums are counted multiple times. SoundScan collects sales figure in sales outlets in the US, and it is their numbers that should be use for US sales. Hzh (talk) 21:41, 2 June 2020 (UTC)
Dookie Singles
[edit]The intro states that Dookie spawned 5 singles, but the list of singles only shows 4. Similarly, the page for Dookie claims it only had 4 singles; however, the page for the song She, states that it too was a single. The Whatsername music video never existed
[edit]As was brought to my attention while browsing Reddit, it appears that, since 2013 as added by an IP, this page has been claiming the existence of an unreleased music video for "Whatsername" with no reliable source (or even primary source) given. Not only does this appear to be completely false (I did a good deal of research when I intended on going through the song articles for American Idiot and do not recall anything about "Whatsername" being a planned single or music video in the words of the band), but if something was never released, I don't think it belongs on a discography page. Honestly not sure how nobody ever caught this.
But maybe I was wrong when I initially saw this and didn't recall it ever existing - so I did some extra research to make sure that it never actually existed. And there appear to be two different "scrapped music videos" (as claimed) for the song: #1 and #2. #1 is not only entirely made up of spliced footage from "American Idiot" and "Jesus of Suburbia", but is so extremely low quality and thrown together and doesn't feature a singular moment of the band actually singing. So my faith in it actually being a planned release when all of the other album's music videos are fairly high quality and have a lot going on is extremely low. Especially when, once again, I do not think the band said anything about "Whatsername" as a sixth single and music video back in the day. This video just appears to be a poorly thrown together bootleg. Meanwhile, #2 is just an edit of the music video for "Still Breathing".
Maybe I'm missing something here and there is some long lost deep cut interview where the band says they wanted to make a music video for "Whatsername" that I'm not aware of. Would love to be proven wrong here. But even if it was planned, I still don't think it belongs on a page with the very purpose of documenting released works (we don't list Cigarettes and Valentines in the albums section). At best, it could warrant a mention in the page for American Idiot in the Release and commercial performance section, where the other singles are discussed. λ NegativeMP1 23:59, 24 May 2025 (UTC)
