Contested deletion

I believe this page should not be speedily deleted because, while it's true that the article was previously deleted, I've worked for a year to improve it and I've consulted on several occasions with the administrator who deleted it. Before I restored it, I even checked to confirm that it's a lot better and now meets his/her standards. I don't dispute that it may still have problems, but I don't know what they are. If someone can inform me of the specific problems that remain, I'll be happy to work immediately to fix them. Obviously, if it proves to be impossible to bring the article up to the standards that you set, then I won't dispute deletion for the time being. But I feel that speedy deletion is not the right answer when (1) I did consult with the deleting administrator, (2) I believe it is substantially different from the former version, and (3) I'm willing to at least attempt to fix any issues that remain. Content assessment needed

This page is listed as Start class because it hasn't been assessed since shortly after it was (re)created. It's clearly way past that now and needs an updated rating. I'd do it myself but I've done a huge percentage of the work on the page so I'm mildly biased. Having read the criteria, it's easily C class and, to be honest, I'd personally rate it at B class. Birth date?

The source for him being the mascot at UNC indicates that in 1999, he had been the mascot for four years, so since at least 1996? So with a birth date of 1982, that would make him 14, which seems pretty improbable. ~2026-16758-79 (talk) 03:26, 17 March 2026 (UTC)

Birth name, UNC attendance

I have removed the assertion in the lead that his birth name was Kristof Robinson, and I have removed the Personal Life section altogether because it consists entirely of claims about his supposed attendance at UNC. I don't think either of these are accurate. The assertion about his birth name seems to be based on some entries in his IMDB credits listing in which he was credited as "Kristof Robinson," and then a claim on an old UNC mascot website that lists a Kristof Robinson who had been the mascot for four years. Admittedly I guess the photograph provided for that Kristof Robinson could plausibly be Flula as a young man, but I really don't think that's sufficient to establish the claims with enough certainty to state them in the article without further supporting evidence. Also, as the above commenter notes, that would mean he matriculated at UNC (as a foreign student) when he was 14, which seems extremely unlikely. I am not a Wikipedian but have been following this online and looked into it myself just for fun. There are various discussions/posts/comments online about this which can generally be found via google (and mainly consist of a few different Reddit discussions on the matter).

To start with there is this film Last Chance https://fawesome.tv/movies/10560594/last-chance which has a credit for Kristof Robinson. It is sadly low quality, however if you pause at 25:13, you can see a mole on the left and right cheek.

Now this one is a better quality match and also credited as Kristof Robinson in "The Brass Biker" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QpLASMwx82c pausing on the close up around 1:14, notice the 4 moles, one on each cheek, one on the nose and one by the eye. These match on many photos results of Flula Borgs face, including on the image used right here on Wikipedia. (He also has a fifth mole inline with the one by his eye located on the edge of his sideburn, but it is hard to see and find a good for).

Given the amount of moles in matching locations, I would this is to much to be a coincidence to two different people.

In regards to the main criticism of this being his student age/date of birth, how is it known that Wikipedia has the correct DOB? The given source [1] for this at the moment is IMDB which I understand anyone can edit? (and could have also just been input wrong to begin with). Searching for "Flula Borg Birthdate" gives many, many results that match, but they could have all copied IMDB or Wikipedia and probably did.

Interestingly Flulas LinkedIn states "Professional Actor Flula Borg International · Full-time Jan 1984 - Present · 42 yrs 8 mos" but I am unsure what to make of that date. Is he implying actor since birth and that's his DOB or is he saying that is the date when he started acting at nearly 2 years old? Either way seems an odd date to pick. The page does look like he filled it in himself "Education Dope Beats University Beatchelors, Excellent Beats and Sassi Energy 2021 – Present" but it is not verified.

But in finding this I am also recommend in the sidebar a profile for non other than Kristof Robinson, sadly no image but it does mention The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I'm not familiar with the site but don't see any obvious way to tell how old the account is or when it was created (I do find it interesting that Kristof has 27 connections whilst Flula only has two).

There is a comment on this 2006 post referring to Kristof as a friend of a friend and receiving a demo reel. https://monkeyposh.blogspot.com/2006/05/ode-to-few-hot-funny-men-with-dark.html -There is a link to Flulas current website but that page is now empty. Whilst this might not be worth much, this seems to be exactly the sort of thing to find more of to prove this one way or the other. But it was the only one in 20+ pages of searching for "Kristof Robinson". Possibly more difficult now that IMDB has entries on Flulas page with "(as Kristof Robinson)" and a lot of other movie results using them both too.
