wait, is Wikipedia down with entries for video game mods that put an established franchise in another game engine now?

For years I witnessed old men that had two purposes here on Wikipedia - update a page about their small town church in meticulous detail and kill anything related to webcomics, video game communities, and syndicated television with occult vibes.

Which is to say I'm on the side of creative people in general.

This mod seems fine. Hopefully they finish the other 70% of it. However, all that exists is a short trailer that seemed to be used for video game blog click farming one morning.

In the past 30 years there have been a lot of released mods that have had heavy impact, player base, interesting development histories. They do not have articles here.

Would the Fallout mod for Hearts of Iron IV be notable with its 494,782 steam subscribers? Would the "Game of Thrones" or "Lord of the Rings" mods for Crusader Kings qualify for its own entry? The Star Trek: New Horizons and Star Trek New Civilisations [sp] total conversion mods for Stellaris?? The Simpsons mod for Doom ? Simpsons currently in Fortnite?

I just want to know where the line of Wikipedia also being a fan wiki is now. Because if it's open season, I have articles to write. "The French Democracy" made in The Movies, the Jack Thompson murder simulator, Thatcher's Techbase, the Taliban added to Civilization.

No subject is automatically or inherently notable merely because it exists: the evidence must show the topic has gained significant independent coverage or recognition, and that this was not a mere short-term interest, nor a result of promotional activity or indiscriminate publicity, nor is the topic unsuitable for any other reason.
