Fake photo

Somone colorized the photo at the Commons. I have reverted that change. You migh still see the colorized version for a while if you are being served a cached version. Thanks for the alert. — Diannaa (talk) 11:29, 6 July 2023 (UTC)

"3-D" map of the bunker

It is apparently a still from a DVD that had 3-dimensional images. We don't see that, so I have removed "3D". Thanks for the suggestion.— Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 15:39, 20 December 2025 (UTC)

Lev Bezymenski author death of Adolf Hitler

Published 1968 from Soviet archives are the autopsies of Hitler, Braun Krebs, Goebells.The reference is not included in the Footnotes. (Topic Furherbunker) . The Book alludes to death of Hitler by cyanide capsule only. The description does not suggest bullet to the Right temple. The right temporal bone is not described forensically , the left is intact , hence no contra coup injury. The Russian evidence implies biting on cyanide ampoule and shooting oneself similtanously are incompatible. The same result follows for Krebs ( no gunshot wound ). The Book suggests the stories of "shooting oneself " is fictional but invented to suggest this was expected of a "manly leader". Soviet documents translated do not confirm any bullets were used on Hitler or Krebs. ANDREW GIBSON (talk) 23:32, 31 December 2025 (UTC)

First this article is not specifically about Hitler’s death. Second, but for the jaw bone fragments discovered and analyzed, the book you cite has been debunked as Soviet propaganda. The author himself admitted years later that he lied about certain points and followed what the KGB and Soviet officials would allow and wanted at the time the book was published. I’m not gonna rehash it all here as there are articles, such as Death of Adolf Hitler that cover it. No reason to include the book herein. Kierzek (talk) 00:05, 1 January 2026 (UTC)

Gunther Schwagermann

anyone know what happened to Gunther Schwagermann after 1965? He is supposedly the last person alive from the fuhrerbunker ~2026-45236-08 (talk) 07:11, 27 August 2026 (UTC)

Again, it is unknown. One cannot claim something about someone that is not known through mainline historians. We can only write what is known and “reported” by WP:RS mainline collaborating sources until new substantiated evidence may become known. We have to go by reliable sources and cannot write about speculation and conjecture, that is WP:OR. Which is not allowed. It is only an internet/social media rumor that he died in 1986.
