Juvenike

[edit]

Floyd was not a juvenile. He was an adult drugged man. Not saying he deserved to die but at least tell the truth. ~2026-23029-74 (talk) 19:48, 14 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

I don't see anything in this article saying Floyd was a juvenile. Cadddr (talk) 19:56, 14 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
I would assume that they mistook "unnamed juvenile" as referring to George Floyd. YeetV4 (talk) 00:05, 26 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Inconsistency in number

[edit]

The shooting of Wayne Reyes says 23 shots in one paragraph and 43 in a later paragraph. Of the linked articles, only one has as number and it's 43. ~2026-32636-88 (talk) 14:38, 2 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Change the first line "Derek Michael Chauvin is an American former police officer who murdered George Floyd" to "Derek Michael Chauvin is an American former police officer involved in the death of George Floyd"

The officer's actions during the interaction are in line with the definition of negligent homicide and not intentional murder. https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/negligent-homicide Ratelsteak (talk) 12:12, 8 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Not done: Read the FAQ on this talk page, especially WP:MURDERS. StephenMacky1 (talk) 12:22, 8 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Murdered George Floyd

[edit]

This article in the past accurately read that Derek Chauvin "murdered George Floyd", which is in accordance with the verbiage used in the article for Mark David Chapman "...who murdered British musician John Lennon..."

If the language used is good enough for John Lennon's murderer, then it's good enough for Derek Chauvin. There was a coordinated attack on this article for over a year wherein users attempted to introduce false uncertainty with dishonest verbiage. Instead of permitting changes with political motivations, let us update the main article body so that it matches the wording used in other Wikipedia articles pertaining to murderers.

Derek Chauvin's article should read, "... is an American former police officer who murdered George Floyd..." just as Mark David Chapman's article reads, "... is an American man who murdered British musician John Lennon..." ~2026-54006-94 (talk) 04:07, 8 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
