Leased departments.
[edit]Department stores can lease departments to manufacturers, so, for example, the shoe department merchandise and staff could come from a shoe company like Florsheim. I see that now in military Post Exchanges. 100.16.224.13 (talk) 00:18, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
Mitsukoshi
[edit]??? This article appears to be absolutely wrong. Several sources state that Mitsukoshi, 1673, is the oldest department store. This vastly predates the stores mentioned here. Bad job!40.142.183.155 (talk) 00:33, 1 February 2025 (UTC)
