Clarifying the Role of Incoterms in Customs Declarations
[edit]The article mentions that Incoterms define the shipment and customs declaration. It may be helpful to clarify their specific role in international trade. According to the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Incoterms allocate certain responsibilities, costs, and risks between buyers and sellers, including responsibility for customs formalities. However, they do not replace customs declarations or all other import and export requirements.
Could editors review this wording and consider clarifying the distinction, with a citation to the ICC's official guidance?
