@EulerianTrail: responding to this comment and this one at WPM: rather than leaving cryptic and unexplained scare quotes in the article, can you find a clear statement of the theorem in a reference, that could be used to support a footnote? (For example, the following thing would be natural:

The theorem is named after David Cross, who discovered it around 2004,[ref][ref] although it was known much earlier.[a]

Of the three references you've included here, the first and third treat only the case that the central triangle is a right triangle, and the second does not explicitly state the theorem named here. --JBL (talk) 19:39, 15 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
