This article is written from a weirdly UK centric point

[edit]

The opening paragraph as well as a few others throughout the article is written in a direct UK centric perspective. It also uses the UK as an explicit comparison when talking about other countries.

It really should be rewritten for a more international perspective and specifics to the UK and northern Ireland should be moved to the Countries section. 94.191.139.197 (talk) 10:43, 21 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

I definitely agree - I hope to at some point add more on American cider AspiringGnome (talk) 09:55, 5 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
The opening paragraph does not mention the UK, do you mean the second paragraph - where it mentions the UK and Ireland being the world largest consumers? Chattenoir (talk) 20:35, 28 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
IMO It's sorta like saying the article for pizza mentions Italy too much, ya know? Chattenoir (talk) 20:42, 28 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
the place in which the drink was invented and is by far the most popular is certainly relevant.
What is unusual is the references to the US and using American photos, with no initial mention of Normandy or Asturias. ~2026-53878-99 (talk) 18:19, 6 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Reference #12 is outdated and the text before it is innacurate.

[edit]

The text states that in the United States, cider is particularly popular in New England, and the Midwest. This may be somewhat true, but the Pacific Northwest should also be included. It has the highest per capita cider consumption in the US, and possibly the World. ~2026-54031-40 (talk) 04:55, 8 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
