Overall:
Requesting a second opinion because I'm a new reviewer and would like to be sure I've not missed anything.
- Article is new enough, long enough, plentifully sourced (a couple of marginally reliable ones in there but the hook is fine), no copyright issues. I though it could use a bit of copyediting and some edits for flow, which I have done - is this OK, can I still review?
- I love the fact in ALT2, but I think that mentioning it's knitwear specifically (not traditionally spiky) would make it more intriguing. How about ALT2a: ... that fashion designer Chet Lo's signature spiky knitwear is inspired by the durian fruit?
Obleronet (talk) 09:53, 9 July 2026 (UTC)
- I'm totally fine with 2a. Waiting for second reviewer. Jishara (talk) 17:19, 19 July 2026 (UTC)
@Obleronet and Jishara: no copyvio, everything is sourced and all the sources are reliable for what they say, its new and long enough. Article quality is fine, but I'd say the paragraphs would be best merged together, but that's not a DYKcrit. the copyedits appear pretty extensive, and in some extents they are, but I don't think they extend enough to make Obleronet involved. ALT0, ALT1, and ALT6 are all uninteresting, but everything else is approved. 1brianm7 (talk) 20:09, 27 July 2026 (UTC)

[edit]Prose is the main issue here, these two sentence paragraphs should be combined
- Lo was born in 1997 in New York to a family originally from Hong Kong. → Lo was born in New York City in 1997 to immigrants from Hong Kong.
- Change to; he attended Central Saint Martins, a constituent college of the University of the Arts London, where he earned a BA in knitwear
- Cut In London,, we established where he is
- Explain what Proenza Schouler and Maison Margiela are
- Vogue Hong Kong should be in italics
- Cut the themselves out of Specialising in knitwear, his designs are known for their spikes, which themselves are inspired by the durian fruit.
- Lo's first design incorporating these spikes was a sweater for himself. was this his first design overall? If not, what was? Also I feel like the details about his style should be their own section. Cut for himself
- He has cited influences including "old Japanese comics and Godzilla and Ultraman visuals", the 1988 film Akira, and the anime television series Neon Genesis Evangelion → He has cited old Japanese comics, Godzilla and Ultraman visuals, the 1988 film Akira, and the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion as influences on his style
- His designs have been described Never use "have been described" in articles, name who described them as such.
- Lo has stated the company produces only the exact number of items purchased.[12] You can just state this as fact. its a reasonable WP:ABOUTSELF
- Lo's Fall 2022 line, titled "The Tundra", emphasized warmth Was this his first line? if so, say he released his first line in fall 2022. The source does not say emphasized warmth, cut that part.
- cut has from He has described it as "après-chic"
- darker than what? change darker to dark
- color palette and took inspiration from the traditional Chinese clothing hanfu. → color palette, taking inspiration from the traditional Chinese clothing hanfu.[
- was inspired by his Buddhist upbringing say he had a buddhist upbringing in the early life section
- His Spring/Summer 2025 collection was inspired by his mother, computer scientist Mai-Wah Cheung. Give this context about his mother in the early life section
- His Fall 2026 collection was inspired by a Hong Kong night market and a trip Lo took to Asia with his boyfriend, who had never previously been. Say he has a boyfriend in the personal life section
- Both shows which two?
- which was inspired by modern dating and his own dating life
- e: Converse, to develop footwear for his Fall/Winter 2025 collection, "Modern Antiquity", this collection is not mentioned alongside every other collection. This gives me the impression you did not include every collection in the article
- What did he collab with Pull&Bear on?
- bag for their juice pouches. clarify that it is to carry their pouches
- Doja Cat, SZA,[30] Dua Lipa,[31] Zara Larsson, Kylie Jenner,[4] Lizzo,[32] MGK,[33] Chloe Cherry,[34] Michaela Coel, and Willow Smith.[9] [who?] Dont rely on the link, give a one or two word description for each person
- His designs featured → His designs were featured
- His 2025 piece "Spiky Boatneck" first time it was mentioned. I really get the idea that this article is missing a lot of info on collections, shows and individual pieces.
- Add all info from the Personal life section the early life.
- In any article you write, change claimed to said

[edit]Article does have properly formatted references

[edit]Although the article has no unreliable sources (Forbes is fine), Papermag and business insider are no consensus, while cosmopolitan and the standard are marginally reliable. I believe that the standard is fine to be kept, but cosmopolitan and the no consensus sources should be cut

- Hey @Finnfrog99: Made all the textual revisions, including finding and filling holes. A few clarifications, everything else was taken/updated:
- - was this his first design overall? No, I don't actually see anything on his first design online - what I do know is that he started using spikes sometime after Cnidaria's Wife.
- - Bubbly - " the overall colour palette was devoid of the brand’s usual bubbly hues" - SCMP
- Thanks for your comments, I really appreciate it. Jishara (please ping upon response) (talk) 00:57, 11 October 2026 (UTC)
