Demotion
[edit]Sepiolida is now the suborder Sepiolina of Sepiida. How do you demote the template Taxonomy/Sepiolida to reflect this? Anthropophoca (talk) 11:41, 8 July 2025 (UTC)
- You'd create a new taxonomy template at Template:Taxonomy/Sepiolina (or alternatively just move the taxonomy template), fix the taxonomy template and the incoming links from other templates and then redirect if you created a new article. Hemiauchenia (talk) 18:46, 8 July 2025 (UTC)

- I didn't realise that Sepiolina is the name of a valid cephalopod genus. That complicates things. You'd best ask WT:TOL. Hemiauchenia (talk) 11:07, 9 July 2025 (UTC)

- Until 14 July, 2025 WoRMS was following Ponder & Lindberg (2020), but it now lists Sepiolida as an accepted order, with the suborder rank Sepiolina superseded.
