Changing ranking from "average" to below-average.

On the page, it's said that Harrison has been remembered as an average president, citing one source. However, he's also sometimes been ranked as low as the fourth quartile in modern surveys such as the Siena Research Institute's 2018 survey, ranking lower than George W. Bush, who is almost universally ranked poorly. I think below-average to average or simply below-average would be a better fit, especially since only one source of a single assessment by a historian is given. Instead, maybe a few scholar surveys such as Siena 2018, USPC 2011, Siena 2010, and C-SPAN 2021 should be listed. IIikewolves (talk) 09:38, 6 September 2026 (UTC)

I don't have a strong opinion on the topic. In the Historical rankings of presidents of the United States, Harrison was ranked 31st in the most recent survey (from 2024), slightly outranking George W. Bush (32nd). With few exceptions, most of the rankings of Harrison that we list place him between the 20th position (at the highest ranking) and the 35th position (at the lowest ranking). The 2024 survey places him above presidents with much worse reputations, such as Calvin Coolidge (34th), Richard Nixon (35th), Herbert Hoover (36th), Warren G. Harding (40th), William Henry Harrison (41st), and Donald Trump (45th and last in the rankings). Dimadick (talk) 13:31, 7 September 2026 (UTC)
