Very good catch. I've removed the copied text and replaced it as best I can. This articel needs more work but shouldn't be legally dangerous now. 68.39.174.238 22:10, 30 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

@GeorgePelekanos1974 I updated the relevant numbers in the article. To help editors, it's helpful to provide WP:Reliable sources to support statements when you make requests, such as a link to a bank publication or news article. Dreamyshade (talk) 03:53, 12 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Good day. All information can be found on the financial reports https://www.bankofcyprus.com/globalassets/group/investor-relations/annual-reports/greek/20260331-boc-group-afr-2025.pdf. Also, please check the other information we asked for adding that includes links with references to support that. GeorgePelekanos1974 (talk) 05:13, 12 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Also please add the below new section after history. Section name is Awards.
Awards
  • Global Finance, one of the leading international publications focused on banking and finance, has named Bank of Cyprus the Best Bank in Cyprus in its World’s Best Banks Awards 2026. This award win recognises the significant achievements of Bank of Cyprus during 2025, which include the 25% increase in the shareholder distribution year-on-year, the expansion of the Bank’s insurance business with the acquisition of Ethniki Insurance Cyprus Ltd and the strengthening of its digital offering with the successful launch of Cyprus’ first digital housing loan. Global Finance’s write-up about Bank of Cyprus can be seen in its article World’s Best Banks 2026: Western Europe, which can be seen here.
  • Bank of Cyprus named “Best Private Bank Cyprus 2026” by Global Banking & Finance Awards for the 4th consecutive year. Sorry, I've looked into Global Banking & Finance Awards, and they are basically vanity awards given to tons of banks, and I don't consider them meaningful information to include in an article. I haven't looked into Euromoney in as much depth, but it looks similar. Dreamyshade (talk) 13:54, 12 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
The Euromoney Awards for Excellence is a highly prestigious annual program within the banking sector, designed to recognize outstanding achievements by banks on a global scale.
Importantly, only one bank per country and in some cases per region is selected to receive this honour each year. This exclusivity highlights both the award’s credibility and its significance, as it shows bank’s exceptional performance and industry leadership. GeorgePelekanos1974 (talk) 06:54, 15 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
And one more please. Add a new section after the Awards to be added as per above.
Distributions
Distribution target at 70% payout ratio.  Capitalising on the Group’s strong financial performance, the Company announces a total distribution of €305 mn, of which c.€87 mn was already paid in October 2025 through the introduction of interim dividend. The 2025 Distribution reflects a 70% payout ratio of the Group’s FY2025 adjusted recurring profitability (€434 mn), at the top-end of its Distribution Policy, fulfilling its previously communicated target.
