Astrological sign for graphic designers

[edit]

Some artists/designers referring to this Wikipedia page might still find it difficult to reproduce the astrological signs in high-resolution details. I've found an easy way. Would someone familiar with this article please include this info in the article (in the proper place and style)?

To produce the 12 signs in a Windows environment, input "^_`abcdefghi" and apply the "Wingdings" font. Voila, you can enlarge to say 50 point font, and output your graphic file to EPS/PNG/JPG format for very fine graphic details.

I will try to demonstrate it here:

^_`abcdefghi.

zodiac signs and their starting dates

[edit]

wouldn't it make more sense if zodiac signs' dates (specifically the ones marking the beginning of a new season) started with the calendar date of each season?

  1. aries - starting at march 21st
  2. cancer - starting at june 22nd
  3. libra - starting at september 23rd (right now, it's september 24th)
  4. capricorn - starting at december 22nd

i think it would be more cohesive if wikipedia went with that Verinae (talk) 17:42, 21 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

What are you talking about? There is already a table with those average dates. And they are sourced.
Start of autumn is September 23 this year, but it would be stupid to use the dates of the current year and change them all the time. Averages are more sensible. --Hob Gadling (talk) 17:15, 22 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
no no, i'm talking about calendar dates, not astronomical (that change every year) Verinae (talk) 09:55, 23 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Does anybody here understand what Verinae is talking about? I don't. --Hob Gadling (talk) 07:06, 24 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
