Not done You need to provide suitable sources. This appears to be just a promotional slogan. The population you give seems excessive, since we have a sourced figure from June 2020.-gadfium08:07, 21 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Is it correct that, "Ashhurst was named for Lord Henry Ashhurst"? In 1874 he was listed in an Economist advert (p28) as H. G. Ashhurst, Esq., Colonial Merchant, London. The only information I can find about him is in a blog, which says Henry George Ashhurst (1821-82) was the 4th son of William Henry Ashhurst (1778-1846) and grandson of Sir William Henry Ashhurst (1726-1807). Te Ara could be used as a source saying, "Henry George Ashhurst, the director of the Emigrant and Colonist’s Aid Corporation after whom it was named". Johnragla (talk) 11:24, 4 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
