I am employed by the Arboricultural Association and therefore have a paid conflict of interest relating to this article. I have disclosed this connection on my user page and have not edited the article directly.

I have prepared a proposed revised version at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:SteveHArb/sandbox

The proposed draft: corrects the grammatically incomplete opening sentence; removes or replaces the outdated Structure section, which describes the organisation's governance using a 1974 source; expands the history using published historical and journal sources; adds concise, neutrally worded information about professional assessment schemes, training, publications and guidance; includes independently sourced examples of public campaigns and collaboration with government and sector organisations; and describes parliamentary submissions and standards work factually, without making claims about the Association's influence or importance.

The draft uses Charity Commission, government, parliamentary, academic publisher, Forest Research and other third-party sources wherever possible. Association sources have been limited to straightforward details that could not otherwise be sourced.

I would be grateful if an uninvolved editor could review the draft and implement any material they consider appropriate. I am happy for the wording to be amended, shortened or omitted in accordance with Wikipedia's policies. SteveHArb (talk) 08:40, 22 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
