The section New theories about Anne Frank's arrest is largely uncited and contains POV-pushing and weasel words ("the highly credible possibility", "it is very likely", "it is reasonable to think"). Not done for now: I think you're right that the section needs to be re-written, there is however a source and I'm not sure it should be completely deleted. Could you provide a specific proposal for the text in change x to y format? ScrubbedFalcon (talk) 12:40, 10 March 2026 (UTC)

In the second paragraph of the lead, the second-to-last sentence is missing a word:

"As persecution of the Jewish population increased in July 1942, the family went into hiding a secret annex concealed behind a bookcase in the building where Frank's father, Otto Frank, worked."

Should probably be replaced with (added word in italics)

Section relating to her sexuality?

This section in her diary shows that she could potentially be bisexual, with many news outlets also commentating on the passage. Yes people have denied it but this section should still be added. - anonymsiy.user - (talk) 08:42, 7 August 2026 (UTC)

Reliable sources that discuss her sexuality are needed for inclusion, not her diary itself. That would be original research. Dedicating an entire section about her supposed sexuality seems like WP:UNDUEWEIGHT to me regardless, it would be a sentence or two at most. soetermans. ^{↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK} 09:29, 7 August 2026 (UTC)

yeah, i feel like a sentence or two would be enough. Proposal to add "journalist" to the infobox occupation field

Hello! I'd like to propose that the occupation field in the infobox include "journalist" alongside "diarist."

This suggestion is based on the fact that Anne Frank repeatedly expressed, in her own diary, her wish to become a journalist or a famous writer. This ambition grew stronger after she heard a radio broadcast on 29 March 1944 by Dutch minister Gerrit Bolkestein (of the Dutch government in exile in London), who urged people to preserve diaries and letters as testimony of the German occupation. This appeal led Anne to revise and rewrite parts of her diary with future publication in mind, under the working title "Het Achterhuis" (The Secret Annex).

Several diary entries reinforce this ambition — for instance, she wrote that her greatest wish was to become a journalist and later a well-known writer. Multiple biographical sources (including the official Anne Frank Fonds and Anne Frank House websites) also describe this aspiration as central to her identity and her motivation for writing.

I understand she never formally practiced the profession, given the circumstances, but this is an important recognition, even if posthumous — one that honors not only her dream, but also stands as a reflection on the many other dreams cut short by persecution and war. Recording this aspiration in the infobox, with proper sourcing, is a way of honoring that dream of hers.
