Description as "African-American"
[edit]Should we change this to describe Razaf as Malagasy-American? If I've understood the article correctly, 3/4 of his grandparents were Malagasy and 1/4 was African-American. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.99.100.138 (talk) 22:58, 30 December 2019 (UTC)
- The article doesn't say, but, per Singer, Jennie Waller Razaf's mother was Susan Boyd Bray, an American.
- It's a moot point, since the current version of the article doesn't describe Andy as anything -American, just as an American. Dave Schweisguth (talk) 22:52, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
Areas for further improvement
[edit]The biggest area of potential improvement I see is that some discussion is needed of the stage shows for which Razaf wrote many of his songs (or in which they were used soon after being written). Singer (1992) discusses many of these, and other Wikipedia articles probably do too.
Another area is that the songs and poems sections need consistent detail. Each song worth listing should have composer, date and a citation. Dave Schweisguth (talk) 23:25, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
