Need review: This page was translated from German Wikipedia. Apparently, it was missing as from a reference from Lake Lanao. Apparently "Ancient Lake" is the English equivalent for German Langzeitsee . (cf. this reference from an English-German Biology Dictionary) However the expression 'Langzeitsee' seems to be much more in use in German-speaking geography than by its English-speaking geographers. However, I did not find any other English expression defining a million-years-old lake that still exists.

Aral Sea - potential error
[edit]In the section 'List of ancient lakes', the Aral Sea is described as formerly the fourth largest lake in the world, however on the Wikipedia page for the Aral Sea, it is called formerly the third largest lake in the world. six or seven major types of lakes
[edit]The section 'Ancient lakes vs. younger lakes' begins with 'There are six major types of lakes (listed below)' but then the list has seven items.
