I'm surprised at the lack of a page for this topic. If one simply google's the word alphabetism, references such as

https://www.colorado.edu/Economics/Zax/workingpapers/Alphabetism.pdf

and

https://www.buzzfeed.com/christianzamora/ways-your-end-of-the-alphabet-name-has-ruined-your-chance?utm_term=.cyNPAmwLX#.nk15wa6ox

can be found. From this last reference, we have a definition:

Alphabetism: The discrimination against people whose last names fall near the end of the alphabet.

As a person whose surname starts with Y, this is important to me. Unfortunately, I don't feel qualified to write a whole Wikipedia page about it, though yes, I know what it has been like in my life.
