Contested deletion

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, I have removed the quoted inline text and rewritten the sentence in my own words. I do not see any reason why the page is being nominated for deletion. Furthermore, after reviewing the alleged reason it seems "Earwig's Copyvio Detector" is matching the text from the page and from a 1745 travel account mentioned in the article. This account is obviously in the public domain and it is not even referenced from the L’Orient-Le Jour source. --Red Phoenician (talk) 22:46, 18 February 2026 (UTC)

Earwig's Copyvio Detector reports 51% similarity, which raises possible copyright violation, although some may come from the 1745 travel account. Other sections also appear to contain close paraphrasing.

For example, in the History section the article states, "…due to the Christians inability to pay the jizya tax and was converted into a mosque giving it the name Khodr," while the source reads, …owing to the Christians' inability to pay religious taxes (dhim), the church was converted into a mosque and renamed Khodr.

In the Healing Pillar section, the article says, "A pillar given to the chapel by Saint Helen, the mother of Constantine the Great, was said to have had healing powers…," whereas the source states, "St. Helena, mother of Emperor Constantine the Great, is said to have given the chapel a white marble pillar… It is said that people touch it in hopes of a cure.

I have removed the public domain quote and the similarity has now dropped to 15.3% stating "Violation unlikely". Of course there will be similarities due to the inevitably of using certain keywords relating to the subject. Red Phoenician (talk) 06:52, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
