Criticism

[edit]

The AU has been subjected to harsh criticism, yet there has been no mention of its past failings. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.169.113.233 (talk) 12:41, 21 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Peripteros (talk) 13:53, 12 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

South Sudan

[edit]

Is South Sudan already part of the African Union? It says so on the maps but not in the article itself.

Not officially as of this day, but very soon. Someone though had "jumped the gun" on it a bit to early...
South Sudan is a member of the African Union (AU). It was formally admitted as the 54th member state on July 27, 2011, shortly after gaining independence on July 9, 2011. Peripteros (talk) 13:54, 12 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Map is Outdated

[edit]

The African Union map at the head of this page is outdated. It depicts Gabon as still being currently suspended from the union and Madagascar as not being suspended from the union. Noahpeaslee11 (talk) 14:41, 17 October 2026 (UTC)Reply

Someone added an outdated map, but I reverted to the original. TDL (talk) 02:32, 18 October 2026 (UTC)Reply
