Hello,

I am a new editor from Mumbai close to the Aarey Forest. I read this article and noticed there was no mention on the construction projects. It seems important to the article that this be included. So I have added a section. I welcome any feedback on my work because I want to be a good Wikipedia editor and also I want this article to be as informative and factually correct as possible. Aarey Milk Colony → Aarey Forest – Hi all

I would like to discuss moving the page back to the title Aarey Forest, the page was moved without discussion and I believe incorrectly. The move was done by a user without a user page with the edit summary "No such place as Aarey Forest exists" which is not correct:

The milk colony is just a part of the forest as described by the BBC reference^[1].
Several sources refer to the area as Aarey Forest^[2]^[3]
The area is legally defined as a forest^[4].

If a user wants to write an article about the Milk Colony, which is a subsection of the forest, they may have enough references to split the article. But that's a separate discussion.

Support: per John Cummings's rationale. Aarey Milk Colony is currently a subsection with the article and it does not make sense for the article's title to be the same as one of its subsections. Gb321 (talk) 17:58, 11 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
