3 Times Square
3 Times Square
  • ... that one critic objected to 3 Times Square being called a skyscraper, likening it to an "identity crisis"? Source: Cramer, Ned (November 2000). "Frankenstein Takes Manhattan". Architecture. 89 (11): 162

General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
    • Cited: Yes - Offline/paywalled citation accepted in good faith
    • Interesting: Yes
Image: Image is freely licensed, used in the article, and clear at 100px.
    QPQ: Done.

Overall: All requirements met. Earwig doesn't pick up anything of concern (just quotations). Hooks are good and each is cited by a source (ALT1 checks out, AGF on the offline sources for ALT0 and ALT2). The image has no licensing problems (uploaded as author's own work), is used in the article, and is clear at 100px. QPQ done. Good to go! P.S. My preference would be for ALT1 as I find this the most interesting hook but happy to leave it up to the promotor. Cheers, Chocmilk03 (talk) 01:24, 2 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Woops, just noted that there is a link for ALT0, apologies. That source also checks out. It's just ALT2 that is on an AGF basis. Chocmilk03 (talk) 02:07, 2 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

    updates and additions

    [edit]

Four passages in this article are out of date: three describe the 2021 renovation as still under way, and one describes a signed lease as an existing tenancy. I identify the current wording and present suggested text as replacement. Sources are included as well.

    1. Correcting the final sentence of the Renovation and subsequent leases subsection. The lease was signed on August 3, 2026 and the move is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2027, so JAMS is not yet a tenant and was not one in the mid-2020s.

Current text: Tenants in the mid-2020s included arbitration firm JAMS.
Suggested correction: In August 2026, JAMS signed an 11-year lease for 55,335 square feet (5,140.8 m2) on the 29th and 30th floors, relocating its New York Resolution Center from 620 Eighth Avenue. [1]

    2. Introducing a new closing sentence for the final paragraph of the Renovation and subsequent leases subsection

Suggested addition: The renovation delivered a redesigned lobby, modernized elevator and entry systems, and a 16th-floor amenity space with a fitness center, dining area, and conference space.[2][1]

    3. Updating the second paragraph of Form and facade subsection. The redesigned lobby has been completed; the "as of 2021" qualifier can be removed.

Current text: The lobby on Seventh Avenue is being redesigned with a triple-height glass wall as of 2021.
Suggested correction: The lobby on Seventh Avenue was redesigned with a triple-height glass wall.[1]

    4. Fixing the tense of the Interior subsection. The amenities have been completed and the tense of this paragraph should be revised to reflect that.

Current text: As part of a 2021 renovation, an amenity space is being designed on the 16th floor, along a setback facing Times Square. The amenity space will have a lounge, cafe, and an event area that could seat 200 or 220 people. A library and a fitness center are also planned for the space.
Suggested correction: As part of the 2021 renovation, an amenity space was built on the 16th floor facing Times Square. The space has a lounge, cafe, dining area, and an event space for up to 220 people, as well as a fitness center. A library is also planned for the space.[1][2]
