• Article was created on the same day as the DYK nomination, so it is new enough. Sufficient length. Since the article almost exclusively uses non-English sources, I made sure to do some extra spot checks for both copyright and text verification. References 1c, 4a, 6, 11b, 11f, 15, 10b, 7k, and 16 were verifiable and copyright-violation-free.
  
  However, sources 7b and 3d failed to verify that there were "three surveillance devices, a timer switch, a router, and a SIM card" in the hotel room. Am I missing something here?
  
  Neutrality is fine. The article could use some minor neutrality work, but the issues I noticed are not serious enough as to compromise factuality.
  
  As for the hook, the event itself is interesting enough IMO. Easily verified in the article as well.
  
  The only thing keeping me from accepting this nomination is the failed verification I mentioned. If that could be cleared up, then this is ready for DYK. 296cherry (talk) 02:01, 21 October 2025 (UTC)

Qi Hong update

Qi Hong has recently reported that he was harassed with transnational repression by a Mandarin interpreter while living in the safety of the UK after the 110 operator of Devon and Cornwall Police transferred him to a Mandarin interpreter. Should we add this into the article or make a separate page about Qi himself? Hannii42 (talk) 14:18, 12 June 2026 (UTC)
