• The article was promoted to good article status on the day of the nomination, and it meets the usual DYK requirements for new GAs including length, sourcing, and paraphrasing. I did not find any close paraphrasing. A QPQ has been provided and is a complete review.

The issue is the hook as currently written, as it might not be interesting or understandable to readers unfamiliar with American football and the Packers. For one, if a reader does not know who Favre is (which I imagine is most of our international/non-North American readers), they will not necessarily understand why his last pass being an interception is important. I'm not even sure "16-year career" helps either. It feels more like a hook targeted towards Packers trivia geeks specifically rather than a broad audience. This is in addition to the fact that the hook relies on American football-specific jargon that may not easily be understandable to readers without clicking the relevant blue links.

Looking at the article, there are other options that are probably more interesting than the "Favre's last pass" angle. I think there's potential in the part that goes it appeared neither team truly wanted to win, perhaps contrasting with how the game later went into overtime. Another possible angle could be something about how cold the game was, from it being the second coldest game in Lambeau Field history, to a hook about how it affected Coughlin's face and the other players. I did. I gave a full review above and I said I was okay with that hook (I would actually approve ALT1 if there were no other options). I merely asked for additional hook suggestions so we could have more choices, as I feel that the other suggestions I gave also have potential. I'm confused as to why you are asking for a new review when all I was asking for was additional hook proposals for the benefit of the promoter (in addition to ALT1); I wasn't rejecting ALT1. I was thinking the contrast between The Green Bay Press-Gazette commented that it appeared neither team truly wanted to win and the game going to overtime might work, but I'm not sure how to word it. Okay, I am ready to approve ALT1. The last remaining issue, and to be fair this is not your fault, is that this is a superlative hook. "Second coldest" is a strong claim, and I am not sure if the ERRORS/"first" hook police will accept it. I personally would, but I'm not sure if the sourcing is airtight. Do the Green Bay Gazette and other sources have good sourcing regarding temperatures at Lambeau Field? An alternative could be a modified version of ALT1 that removes the "second-coldest" claim and just mentions the temperatures.
