Why this page should be a separate article than the PATCO Organizational Page

This article shows the significance that the PATCO Strike in 1981 had on the labor union and ties the PATCO organization into the overarching umbrella of the labor movement in the United States. This article has unique and separate information than the PATCO organization article, and thus we believe that our article should remain as a separate entity. An example of this already in Wikipedia is the article on the Knights of Labor Organization and the Great Railroad Strike of 1877, which the Knights of Labor were a part of. Illegality of the strike

I see no mention of the very relevamt legal titbit that as Federal Government employees, they were not legally allowed to strike. ~2026-17160-43 (talk) 07:10, 21 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

I agree that this is important. It is mentioned as a political claim, though not as a fact, in the third paragraph of the Aftermath section. I lived through the strike and heard that claim made by the Administration, but frankly didn't and don't know one way or the other whether it was true.
