Sally S. F. Thompson (born February 17, 1940) is an American politician who served as the treasurer of Kansas from 1991 to 1998 and as the chief financial officer of the United States Department of Agriculture from 1998 to 2001.[1][2] In February 2025, it was announced that Thompson would become the Senior Policy Advisor to the Vice President of the United States.[3]Thompson assumed office on February 7, 2025. She left on March 31, 2026.[4]
