Hello! I am Kenny Burns EA and I am requesting full access to edit this because there have been many new additions including article references, shows, music, TV and films. Tffhthewriter (talk) 02:01, 21 June 2024 (UTC)
Not done: thank you very much, editor Kenny Burns EA, for your raising the need for improvement here; however, this is not the right page to request additional user rights. If you like, you can reopen this request with the specific changes to be made and someone may add them for you. P.I. Ellsworth , ed. put'er there 16:38, 21 June 2024 (UTC)
Please change JSTOR to PMC
[edit]Wikipedia follows free content principles and supports the Open Access initiative. PubMed Central has more than 11.3 million (11,327,616) of full-text open access articles (see PMC's Archive Use Anual Report). JSTOR, by other hand, has only 6% of its records open, in the order of 500 to 700 thousand open access articles. Krauss (talk) 09:53, 29 June 2026 (UTC)

Description of suggested change: replace JSTOR by PMC.
Wikipedia follows free content principles and supports the Open Access initiative. PubMed Central (PMC) has more than 11.3 million (11,327,616) of full-text open access articles (see PMC's Archive Use Anual Report). JSTOR, by other hand, has only 6% of its records open, in the order of 500 to 700 thousand open access articles

- Is there a reason we have to replace JSTOR instead of just adding PMC as an additional option? Primefac (talk) 10:14, 29 June 2026 (UTC)
- I'm also inclined to list both. Especially given that The Wikipedia Library gives access to JSTOR I think practicality beats free-content maximalism here. * Pppery * in solidarity 21:44, 29 July 2026 (UTC)
- And on top of that the proposed code doesn't even work as there's no definition of "pmc" in Module:Find sources/links. Deactivating as stale and unworkable. * Pppery * it has begun... 20:35, 29 September 2026 (UTC)
