Miss Grand Chile 2026 will be the 6th Miss Grand Chile pageant, scheduled to be held on 29 August 2026 at the Gran Espacio Parque, La Florida,[1] to select the country's representative to Miss Grand International 2026 in India.[2][3] Twenty-six contestants, representing cities and communes across the country, are competing for the title.[4] The event will be broadcast via TV Más,[3] and was expected to be hosted by Camila Andrade.[1][5]

Although national director Marión De Giorgis had held the pageant's license since early 2025,[6] no national final was staged that year, making this the first edition of Miss Grand Chile to be organized under her direction.[7]

Background

Since the fifth edition in 2023, Chile's representatives to Miss Grand International had not been selected through a competitive national final; Gabriella Alvez of Araucanía was appointed Miss Grand Chile 2024 instead.[8] Marión De Giorgis had become the pageant's national director by early 2025, succeeding Gabriel Alfonsino.[6][7]

Under De Giorgis, singer and model Emilia Dides, Miss Universe Chile 2024, was widely speculated to be the organization's pick to represent Chile at Miss Grand International 2025, though no formal sashing or public confirmation of her candidacy was ever made.[9] De Giorgis later stated that a contract signed in February 2025 had designated Dides as Miss Grand Chile 2025.[7]

In July 2025, Dides confirmed she would not take up the role, citing personal reasons; De Giorgis initially accused her of breach of contract, before the two parties resolved the dispute amicably.[10][11] The following month, Dides announced she was expecting her first child with American football player Sammis Reyes.[12] No alternative representative was subsequently announced, and Chile did not send a delegate to Miss Grand International 2025.

Miss Grand Chile returned to a competitive national final in 2026, with 31 contestants confirmed to compete for the title. All contestants were drawn from an open, centralized casting process and sashed to represent their respective cities, rather than being selected through separate regional competitions. The official sashing ceremony took place on 15 August 2026, with the grand final competition scheduled for 29 August.[2][3]

Initially, 36 candidates confirmed their participation,[1][15] but six subsequently withdrew, leaving 26 candidates remaining.[4] The Santiago Metropolitan Region had the largest number of contestants, with 13 candidates, including those who withdrew, while five southern regions, namely Araucanía, Los Ríos, Los Lagos, Aysén, and Magallanes, had no representatives.
