Meroglossa diversipuncta is a species of bee in the family Colletidae and the subfamily Hylaeinae. It is endemic to Australia. It was described in 1909 by British-American entomologist Theodore Dru Alison Cockerell.[1][2]
Description
[edit]Female body length is about 8.5 mm. Colouration is mainly black, patched with yellow.[1]
Distribution and habitat
[edit]The species occurs in Far North Queensland. The type locality is Kuranda.[2]
Behaviour
[edit]The adults are flying mellivores.[2]
