The Jumpable Plate Carrier (JPC, pronounced /ˈdʒʌmp.ə.bəl pleɪt ˈkæri.ər/ JUMP-uh-bul plate KAIR-ee-er) is a lightweight, high-mobility tactical plate carrier developed in the late 2000s by Crye Precision.[1][2] Introduced to special operations forces and police tactical units in the early 2010s,[2] the carrier was intended to deliver superior mobility and weight savings compared to traditional body armor systems like the Improved Outer Tactical Vest.[3] The JPC was deployed extensively across major conflicts like the Global War on Terror.[4][3]
JPC 2.0
[edit]The JPC 2.0 is an improved version of the JPC platform. It is equipped with key enhancements like a 2-step emergency doffing system for quick removal in medical or emergency situations, compatibility with detachable front flaps, back panel zippers and expanding stretch material on the plate bags.[5]
