| Description |
English: The exact origin of the name Kasulu is believed to have originated from the indigenous communities that inhabited the area long before colonial rule, particularly among groups living in western Tanzania. During the German and later British colonial periods, Kasulu developed as an administrative and trading center, and the traditional local name was retained.
Kiswahili: Asili ya Kasulu inaaminika kuwa jina hili lilitokana na jamii za wenyeji waliokuwa wanaishi eneo hilo kabla ya ukoloni. Wakati wa utawala wa Wajerumani kisha baadaye wakaja Waingereza, Kasulu awali ilikua ni kituo cha biashara na utawala huku jina la asili likiendelea kutumika. |
