First article!

[edit]

Hi everyone, this is my first article so looking forward to any feedback or assistance! I tried to make the righthand box including the podcast cover art and some of the basic facts, but didn't feel like I could really figure it out. Mistralguerreiro201 (talk) 16:27, 7 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello Mistralguerreiro201, I've provided my assessment of the current sourcing. If you believe I've mischaracterized any of them or you identify better sources please let me know. I'd recommend giving WP:42 a read. TipsyElephant (talk) 15:27, 15 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Hello @TipsyElephant, many thanks for this in-depth review! I do think you mischaracterized several of the sources: For example, neither the Esquire or The A.V. Club citations are trivial mentions — both provide explicit reviews of the show. The A.V. Club review is 200+ words of summary and analysis the show. Esquire, for its part, ranks the podcast as among the best for 2025 and although the review is not long, Esquire is one of the top circulating men's magazines in the US with more than 20 international editions — thus clearly contributing to notability.
The citations that you say do not mention the podcast (i.e. Mother Jones, The New Yorker, The New Republic, Columbus Monthly, Jacobin, Vice, Rolling Stone) are highly relevant because they cover its co-hosts at length as well as the creative milieu in which it is situated and from which it emerged, providing critical contextual and historical elements for the article. I am willing to concede that The A.V. Club source is half decent. However, I'd like to see WP:THREESOURCES at that level or better before being willing to accept the draft. TipsyElephant (talk) 11:30, 16 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
No other sources like that exist currently exist, so how to proceed? I have referenced the article as extensively as currently possible. Genuinely asking for how to move ahead! Mistralguerreiro201 (talk) 12:01, 16 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Then the subject isn't notable yet and won't be published to mainspace. You can wait and see if the podcast receives more news coverage, but that could be months or years in the future. Alternatively, you could take the few sources that actually discuss the podcast and add a short paragraph to a connected subject's article. There are also plenty of other things to write about. Find a different podcast that is notable. There are a bunch listed here: Requested Articles (podcasts). I'd recommend reading WP:BACKWARD before trying to start any more articles.
