Untitled eighth Chucky film is an upcoming American supernatural slasher film that will be written and directed by Don Mancini. It will serve as a continuation of the television series Chucky (2021–2024) and the ninth mainline installment of the Child's Play franchise. The film will star Brad Dourif and Jennifer Tilly, reprising their voice roles as Chucky and Tiffany.

The film is set to be released theatrically.[1]

In February 2018, a Chucky television series was announced to be in the works, with involvement from the Child's Play franchise creator Don Mancini and producer David Kirschner. Mancini also stated that as well as the series, feature films will still continue to be made.[2] The series premiered on October 12, 2021 and ran for three seasons before it was cancelled by Syfy and USA Network in September 2024.[3][4]

In March 2024, Mancini announced he was in early stages of development on a new Chucky movie that would work in tandem with the series.[5] The next month, Dourif announced that he would be retiring from acting, with the exception of any Chucky-related projects where he would reprise his role as the titular character.[6] In February 2026, Tilly confirmed she would reprise her role as Tiffany Valentine in any future Chucky installments.[2]

In April 2026, Mancini announced during a convention that the film is currently being written and will feature a similar reset approach to Curse of Chucky.[7]
