[edit]

After the release and success of his 2023 film Thanksgiving, Eli Roth announced that he would be writing a sequel with Jeff Rendell.[3] In August 2024, Roth stated that he and Rendell were "about to hand" the final script to the studio, and that Addison Rae was expected to return as her character Gaby.[2] Roth stated that principal photography was planned to start in March 2025.[4] In May 2025, Nell Verlaque said filming was expected to begin later that year.[5]

In January 2026, Roth said production of the sequel was postponed due to Rae and Manheim's respective commitments to other projects.[6]

Release

Thanksgiving 2 was previously set to be theatrically by TriStar Pictures in 2025.[7]
