Paul Jake Ceniza Castillo (born December 22, 1984) is a Filipino actor, businessman and television personality.[1] He is known as the runner-up of Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up and for his marriage to actress Kaye Abad.[2][3]
Early life and business
[edit]Born on December 22, 1984 in Baltimore, Maryland, second among four children and raised in Cebu City since he was a baby.[4] Castillo grew up in Cebu as an entrepreneur aside from being part of showbiz.[5] He is also part of the well-known Yobob Lechon de Cebu business.[6]
Career
[edit]Castillo was first noticed by the public as one of the housemates in Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up (2009–2010).[7][8] He came in as Second Big Placer (runner-up) with about 27% of the total votes.[9]
After being launched into fame by such programs, he pursued a career in acting.[10] A role in the romantic teleserye "Be Careful with My Heart" in 2012 as Simon Corpuz became his most notable TV role of his career as a supporting actor on long-time broadcast.[11] Here are some other television shows he has appeared in "Maria la del Barrio," "Maria Mercedes," and "Dream Dad" in addition to numerous episodes of "Maalaala Mo Kaya".[12]
He also appeared in supporting roles in No Other Woman (2011), A Secret Affair (2012), Momzillas (2013), ABNKKBSNPLAko?! (2014) and For the Hopeless Romantic (2015).[13]
Personal life
[edit]Castillo married actress Kaye Abad in December 2016 in Cebu.[14] The couple have children together.[15] They occasionally share family moments on social media.[16]
