Northeastern Clinton CSD (NCCSD) is a public school district in Clinton County, New York. Their district is made up of four schools. Mooers Elementary School (Grades K-5), Northeastern Clinton Middle School (Grades 6-8), Northeastern High School (Grades 9-12), and Rouses Point Elementary School (Grades K-5).[1] They provide education from kindergarten all the way through to 12th grade. NCCSD serves about 1,600 students, which is a student to teacher ratio of 12:1. Students benefit from the rural setting NCCSD is located at because of the outdoor activities like fishing, skiing, and hiking.[2]
NCCSD's Mission
[edit]The Northeastern Clinton CSD's mission is to support students through meeting New York State Learning Standards to develop learning skills at today's standards.[3] They learn skills through technology, critical thinking, and lifelong learning. NCCSD is labeled as a school of excellence by the U.S. Department of Education.[4]
Mooers Elementary School (Grades K-5)
[edit]Mooers Elementary School is located in 16 School St, Mooers, NY 12958, USA. The principal of the Elementary School is Mr. Wade Bush.[5] There are around 329 Students attending Mooers Elementary School and 28 full-time teachers.[6]
Northeastern Clinton Middle School (Grades 6-8)
[edit]Northeastern Clinton Middle School is located in 103 NY-276, Champlain, NY 12919, USA. The principal of the Northeastern Cliton Middle school is Ms. Jamie Maggy.[7] There are around 287 students enrolled and 25-28 full-time teachers.[8] Their mascot is a cougar.[9]
Northeastern High School (Grades 9-12)
[edit]Northeastern High School is located at 103 NY-276, Champlain, NY 12919, USA, The same place as the middle school. On their official school website, it states that their principal is Mr. Josh Harrica.[10] On Change.org, 243 people signed a petition to remove Josh Harrica from Northeastern Clinton Central School due to him failing to uphold fundamental values. The comments on the website states that Joshua was recently fired from his position at Northeastern Central School which has, "caused more peace" at the school.
Rouses Point Elementary School (Grades K-5)
[edit]Rouses Point Elementary School is located at 80 Maple St, Rouses Point, NY 12979, USA. Their principle is Mrs. Heidi Sample.[11] There are about 256 students with a 14:1 student-teacher ratio.
